Parents wishing to enrol their child at Bardon State School may do so at any time. However early enrolment will help to ensure your child’s place at the school.

For enrolment into Year One, a child must reach the age of five years by the end of December in the previous year. For enrolment in Prep in 2008, a child must be born between 1st July 2002 to 30th June 2003 to be eligible for Prep. 2008 will be the introduction of a new starting age for compulsory schooling (Yr 1) – 6 by 30th June, in the year preceding enrolment.

For those children who have not previously attended a Queensland State School, proof of age is required. Proof can be in the form of:

  • Birth Certificate or extract
  • Passport
  • Baptismal Certificate

If a child is transferring from another Queensland State School, school office staff will obtain a Transfer Certificate from the previously attended school.
